From Great Bend:
Heartland Farm is an oasis of peace located an easy 14 miles west of Great Bend. Take W. Barton County Rd. (10th Street) west from the 4-way stop sign at 10th and Patton (where HWY 56 turns south) for 13 miles. When the pavement ends, continue west on gravel (Ave. X) for one mile. Turn south on CR 390 for ½ mile. Heartland Farm will be on the west side of the road.
From the North and East:
Coming west on I-70, take the Ellsworth/Great Bend exit (Hwy 156) – exit 225. Hwy 56 from the east and Hwy 156 join at Great Bend and become 10th Street. At the west end of Great Bend, at the four-way stop at Patton Road, you leave Hwys 56 and 156. Do NOT turn left to Pawnee Rock. Go straight on 10th Street, which becomes West Barton County Road, for 13 miles. The last mile will be gravel, will be in Rush Co, and is named Ave X. Turn south at the end of that mile, Co Rd 390 is the name of the road, and continue for about ½ mile until the Heartland Farm driveway, which is on the west side of the road.
From the West:
Coming east on 1-70, take the Hays exit – exit 159, which is Hwy 183. Follow this south through Hays and then 27 miles to Rush Center. Turn left (east) onto Hwy 96 and go 16 miles to Albert. Take the first right (south) immediately after the Albert town sign. Go 7 miles on this paved road – 130th NW Ave – to the West Barton County Road (first stop sign) and turn right (west) and go two more miles. The last mile will be gravel and is named Ave X. Turn south (left) at the end of that mile, on CoRd 390, and continue for about ½ mile until the Heartland Farm driveway, which is on the west side of the road. We have you turn on 130th NW Ave and come back west two miles so that you will be traveling on paved road all but the last 1 ½ miles.

Continue through Larned on Hwy 56/156 for another 10 miles until the small town of Pawnee Rock. On the east edge of town turn left (north) on 110.
