Shalom Weaving Retreat
If you have ever wanted to learn the ancient and beautiful art of weaving, Heartland Farm has a perfect opportunity for you. Come visit our beautiful farm, enjoy one on one instruction, and share the company of other budding artists in a peaceful rural setting.
In order to make this as easy for our attendees as possible, we have both a daytime/commuter option or a weekend/overnight option:
Daytime/Commuter option
Tuesday, September 19 through Friday, September 22
9:00 am-1:30 pm, Lunch is included
Weekend Option
Friday, September 22 7:00 to Sunday, September 24, 12:00 noon.
Participants will stay overnight at the Farm’s guest house.
This Weaving Retreat will be conducted by Sister Anita Cleary, OP. Sr. Anita is a Dominican
Sister of the Springfield, IL, Dominicans who has developed and conducted retreats at
Jubilee Farm in Illinois. She will be assisted by Heartland Farm staff and volunteers.

Special scholarship funds have been made available from the Shalom Fund of the Dominican Sisters of Peace for women in need in our area. These funds will cover the cost of the retreat, plus any additional expenses required by participants including transportation, child care, and other options which can facilitate each individual’s full participation in this enriching experience, including follow-up activities.
