Making the Goods 2018
Everyone wants to serve delicious, handmade food for family and friends. Heartland Farm can help you learn how to make and preserve classics like pickles and salsa, or create fresh-baked treats.
The Canning Series:
Tuesday, June 19, 2018: 7-9 pm
Using fresh cabbage from our gardens, transform it into savory sauerkraut that you can enjoy year-round.
You will need to return to claim the finished product.
Friday, July 6, 2018; 7-9 pm
Learn to transform cool cucumbers into crunchy pickles that accompany any meal. Go home with a jar.
Tuesday, August 21, 2018: 7-9 pm
Harvest the summer’s bounty into spicy (hot or mild) salsa. Always a perennial favorite.

Tuesday, Bread Making October 2: 6-8 pm Bread Making
Learn basic techniques of making yeast bread and go home with a warm, aromatic loaf to enjoy!
Tuesday November 13: 6-8 pm
Explore some fancy bread-making techniques, then make and share during the holidays. Impress your family!

If you are coming from a distance and want to stay at Heartland Farm for the night of your class, our guest house can accommodate you at a special rate which includes breakfast items in your space.
