Open Farm Day 2022
Join us for Open Farm Day!
Heartland Farm will host its annual Open Farm Day on Saturday, April 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
While admission is free for this come and go event, we’d love your donation!
Come out to the non-profit Farm, meet our herd of alpacas, attend gardening and spinning-related demonstrations, and walk an alpaca. Visitors can also walk our nature trails, feed Scottish Highland cattle and Dwarf Nigerian goats from JCA Highlands, and purchase unique items from our gift shop.
NOTE: The Meet the Chicks session has been cancelled because of concerns over the ongoing avian influenza outbreak that has reached Kansas. We are, therefore, offering more opportunities to walk a Heartland Farm alpaca.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day on our open-air pavilion.
Heartland Farm is located an easy 13 miles west of Great Bend. Take W. Barton County Rd (10th Street) west for 13 miles. When the pavement ends, continue west on gravel (Ave. X) for one mile. Turn south on CR 390 for ½ mile. Heartland Farm will be on the west side of the road. For other directions from other locations, see www.heartlandfarm-ks.org/contact-us/directions.
